Philosophy of Internship: To embrace an intern for a new position in an exciting, ambitious, growing equine practice and surgical facility. We provide a well rounded, educational internship with experience in equine surgery, medicine, anesthesia, sports medicine, and ambulatory care. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a fun, enthusiastic team of vets during a year of comprehensive clinical experience in a private practice setting with significant referral/hospital, anesthesia, and ambulatory exposure. Our practice encompasses a very broad range of disciplines and breeds. At completion of this internship, our intern should have a solid foundation to enter either high quality private practice or residency training.

Must have completion of DVM/VMD by start of job, successful completion of NAVLE, letter of intent, resume, official transcript, 3 letters of reference, ability to obtain MD license, and MD Accreditation. Externship or interview required.
Internship Duties: Interns have primary case responsibility of hospital cases under senior supervision. Primary responsibility includes daily patient assessment, maintenance of medical records, evening/overnight treatments, aid/perform diagnostics an presentation on cases in rounds. Other intern responsibilities include to assist in surgery, learn and perform anesthesia, and to assist the ambulatory vets as needed for daily truck/clinic/emergency work.
