Progressive three-doctor equine practice is just 25 miles from Portland, allowing good access to spousal employment, cultural activities, and a rich social life. Love the outdoors? Opportunities for snow sports, hiking, camping, fishing, and trail riding abound. Love to teach? We are one of the preceptor sites for Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and also provide mentorship to veterinary assistant and technician students as well as undergraduate students. Have a special interest? We want you to develop in the direction of your passion. The practice has a diverse case load from the pasture pet to the highly trained athlete. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave unit, power dental tools, endoscopy, gastroscopy, and cold laser. We provide preventative health care, dentistry, chiropractic care, lameness evaluations, and reproductive services including stallion collection, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer.
We prefer a full time associate but will consider a part-time work schedule. The position is predominantly ambulatory, but we have many haul-in appointments with two stocks available. Compensation will include a base salary with opportunity for a production bonus. Benefits include health plan, license fees, professional liability insurance, continuing education stipend and a generous amount of time off. Emergency duty is shared, and emergency fees provide additional compensation. Future partnership is possible for the right individual.
