Ocean State Equine is looking for a trained surgeon that loves lameness and is happy to do some surgery. If this is you and you would like to work as part of an enthusiastic team, with horses across many disciplines and owners who are accustomed to quality medicine and communication, we would like to talk.
We are a 6-doctor (including DACVIM and DACVS practitioners), 2 intern practice serving the diverse equine communities of Rhode Island, and surrounding areas. We have a heavy lameness and growing surgical caseload along with our brand-new facility.
The facility has 3 exam areas, an operating room with 2 induction/recovery stalls, and 2 ICU stalls. The adjacent barn has 10 stalls. Interns live on-site and there is a USDA CEM quarantine station on the property. Additionally, there are large outdoor and indoor arenas as well as a Eurocisor that can be leveraged to expand the already busy lameness portion of the practice.
We enjoy a collegial, professional work environment. Cases are often shared. Client communication and collaboration skills are essential. We strive for efficiency with the goal of quality patient care and work-life balance.
