Alliance Equine Health Care is looking to add a full or part time associate veterinarian to our current 2 full time doctors at our exclusively equine ambulatory practice in Glenmoore, Pennsylvania.
Our practice has developed a loyal and appreciative client base after 15 years in operation in our region. We practice compassionate, high quality, and ethical medicine for our patients, and provide personalized and friendly client support. We have a very strong preventative care/wellness/dentistry program, provide 24/7 emergency service for our established clients only, and do very little reproductive work (intentionally). UPenn’s New Bolton Center is very close by for consults and case referrals. Our patients are primarily english performance horses, pleasure riding horses, and backyard pets.
Alliance Equine is located in the fabulous horse country of Chester County. It’s a great place to practice equine medicine and a great place to live if you are an equestrian! There is a lot of preserved land which is available for fox hunting, paper chasing, or relaxed trail riding. Multiple high level equine competitions occur close by (the Devon Horse Show, Dressage at Devon, and the Fair Hill International are a few). We are close enough to Philadelphia to enjoy its cultural attractions, but far enough on the outskirts to not feel like we are close to a big city; and you can be at the beach or the Pocono Mountains in a couple hours' drive.
Our practice consists of a great team of veterinarians and support staff. We value positivity and teamwork. Our regular appointment hours are 8-4, Monday through Friday, and we try hard to not work outside of that schedule (except for emergencies, of course). We value and promote having a life outside of veterinary medicine! We are seeking a veterinarian interested in a full or part time position who is kind, positive, team motivated, and has great communication skills. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed a year-long internship and/or at least two years in private practice. A strong interest in dentistry, sports medicine, and/or alternative medicine is desired. Compensation commensurate to experience and negotiable depending on applicant's comfort level with base vs production style package.
Benefits for full time veterinary associates include health insurance, paid vacation time, paid sick leave, paid CE time and stipend, IRA contributions, association dues, PLIT, work vehicle, etc.
