Animal Medical Center, a fast-growing and modern mixed-animal practice, serves Muskogee and surrounding counties with clients coming from as far away as Missouri and Arkansas. We are seeking a small animal practitioner to join our three doctor team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, personable, confident, and hardworking, with a strong interest in surgery. Our doctors and staff help drive the success and growth of the practice through a collaborative environment of mutual teaching, learning, and sharing ideas.
Our facility includes two small animal exam rooms with adjacent pharmacy, surgery suite and indoor kennels. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, Idexx lab equipment, steam sterilization, cold laser, and electronic medical records. Our temperature controlled large animal facility has two sets of equine stocks and a hydraulic squeeze chute. We have six outdoor covered stalls. Our equine equipment includes digital radiography, power dental float, and upper airway endoscope.
Graduate of an accredited school of veterinary medicine and ability to become licensed in the state of Oklahoma. An employee in this position must have a sense of caring for animals and people, be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds, and be able to work on feet all day. This position requires an outgoing, assertive personality and strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Employees in this position must be self-motivated and self directed and a possess a strong work ethic.
Perform the duties usually expected of a veterinarian in an ethical and consistently professional manner in accordance with state law.
Be friendly and courteous to the clients, always demonstrating a sincere bedside manner.
Manage patient care to provide quality service for each individual patient with the understanding that other patients need to bee seen, therefore maintaining a smooth patient flow.
Inspire trust in the clients that the best recommendations are being made for their pets.
Effectively manage every animal’s medical needs, always demonstrating concern, compassion, and gentleness toward the animal.
Fully educate the client, including diagnosis, treatment plan, prognosis and available alternatives.
Maintain and improve professional competence by participating in continuing education programs, reviewing current literature and pursuing involvement in professional organizations.
Adhere to all established policies of the practice.
