About the Position
This full-time position is ideal for someone with a love for reproductive work who also enjoys the variety of general practice. We are fortunate to have a loyal breeding clientele, with a strong Thoroughbred racehorse presence as well as a growing non-TB sport and pleasure horse book. As such, candidates should be comfortable and have hands-on experience with assisted breeding techniques. The successful candidate will enjoy collaborating with our two existing reproductive specialists, one a board-certified theriogenologist. Our general practice consists of a balance of general medicine, herd health and wellness including dentistry and lameness work.
The schedule for this position is generally Monday-Friday with the potential for some flexibility during the quieter months. Candidates should be prepared to work one weeknight per week, and one weekend per month on call. During the busy breeding season, candidates must be willing to work outside of regular business hours and on weekends to meet client and patient needs.
