Johnson College is looking for a Full-Time Clinical Veterinarian to teach the students of our Veterinarian Technology Program. The Clinical Veterinarian is responsible for clinical activities, in compliance with AVMA, PAC, and program chair regulations. The Clinical Veterinarian is responsible for appointments and surgeries, the maintenance of patient records and their confidentiality, to provide reports, uphold all protocols and policies, work with students, attend college events and meetings, work with a budget, and supervise the staff. Candidates must be comfortable in multiple settings, including the clinical, lab, and/or classroom setting. Qualified applicants must have a Pennsylvania license, a DEA license, be a USDA accredited, and have worked in a clinical environment for at least 4 years.
Animal Care Center
o Keep current on industry standards to ensure that students and clients receive quality care
o Explain policies and procedures as directed by hospital policy
o IACUC protocols, AHPIS reporting, MOU’s
o APHIS reporting, site visits
o Inventory and budget items for class – responsible for ordering these items and reporting to Program Director.
