We are a 3 doctor practice, located in the suburban Chicago area. We are looking for an equine ambulatory veterinarian. There is opportunity to do small animal work if interested as well. The right candidate is hardworking, enthusiastic, compassionate and a team-player. Position is open to part and full time applicants.
We are 85% equine, 10% small animal (quickly growing) and the remaining split between pot-bellied pigs, goats, etc. Our practice philosophy is to provide compassionate care, unrivaled service and cutting edge veterinary medicine to our patients and client. We promote a "team effort" environment though out all aspects of the practice and value a good work life balance. Emergency coverage is shared between veterinarians. Our clientele is comprised mostly of english sport horses including dressage, jumper, hunters, and saddlebreds. We also serve western performance horses and trail-riders. We provide routine care, dentistry, sports medicine services, medicine, opthalmology, and reproductive services. An interest in small animal, pot-bellied pigs and goats is a plus! We practice a high caliber of veterinary medicine and our services include stem cell therapy, embryo transfer, ultrasound-guided injections, chiropractic, etc. We have 3 fully equipped state-of-the-art ambulatory vehicles. We have digital medical records, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy 1M and 3M, shockwave, K-laser and power floats. A technician accompanies veterinarians on appointments. Experience is preferred, but all applicants are welcome. Compensation is competitive and commensurate on experience. Group health insurance, CE, paid AVMA and AAEP dues are provided.
