About the OpportunityThis position is situated in the beautiful rolling countryside northwest of Toronto, housing our new Rehabilitation and Reproduction Facility as well as our ambulatory care team. This facility is located in an area with a high mixed competitive equine population, which was home to the 2015 Pan Am Games Site at the Caledon Equestrian Park. Our clientele consists of sport horses (hunter/jumper, eventing, and dressage) as well as cherished pleasure horses with exceptional owners.
We are looking for an experienced equine veterinarian who seeks the opportunity to further develop our caseload of high quality equine sports medicine and reproduction while maintaining a fulfilling work-life balance within a supportive culture. Your role would be primarily ambulatory, with shared involvement in the management of the in-house patients. Ideal candidates would have experience in reproductive and lameness services and therapies. You are a confident professional with excellent communication skills who has a high level of self-awareness and a desire to be part of a collaborative team. You understand that patient care is only part of your role and are able to build trusting relationships with horse owners and trainers by giving them peace of mind in their decisions about the health and wellness of their horses.
