Sports Medicine Associates of Chester County was founded by Dr. Kevin Keane in 2005 following 25 years in practice at the former Delaware Equine Center. Situated in southeastern Pennsylvania, in the heart of Chester County, we are fortunate to be in close proximity to a vast variety of equine related disciplines. A significant portion of our caseload are professional clients/trainers/riders which gives us the opportunity to work with athletes at the top level of their sport. Our practice currently has three full time veterinarians Dr. Kevin Keane, Dr. Ashley Taylor and Dr. Taryn Gassert. All our vets are FEI certified. During the winter months both Dr. Keane and Dr. Taylor travel to our southern base in Aiken, South Carolina in order to provide continued care for our clients. Our clinic has three treatments rooms, in-house stalls, jogging strip, lunging area, use of a synthetic surface gallop and an indoor arena. Equipment includes digital radiology units, ultrasound units, scopes used for upper airway endoscopy, multiple regenerative therapy processors, shockwave machines, a class 4 laser and a FES system. We are also in close proximity to the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center which enables us to have the opportunity to refer clients for advanced diagnostic imaging, surgery, and specialist examinations.
