We are looking for an associate veterinarian with a strong interest in reproduction. Our practice is located in Southeastern PA and services PA and MD. Our clinic work is predominantly Standardbreds. Ambulatory clients run the gamut from large Standardbred and Thoroughbred breeding farms to the backyard horse. There is room for growth in any area of equine practice that is of interest to the associate. At the clinic, we foal mares, breed mares with frozen, cooled and fresh semen, maintain an onsite recipient herd, perform embryo transfer, stand stallions, freeze semen, ship semen. The majority of ambulatory work is also reproduction oriented with some general medicine thrown in. Emergencies are generally infrequent. Emergency duty would be shared equally. Practice vehicle provided, PTO, CE, Licenses, association dues, liability insurance, simple IRA, health insurance provided. Salary with production. Salary commensurate with experience. We work hard in the spring and the work load decreases significantly in the fall allowing more time off. We are close to Baltimore, Washington, DC, Philadelphia but are still in a rural area.
