The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) – the regulator of horse racing in Ontario – is looking for a Manager of Veterinary Services.
The health and welfare of the racehorse and the safety of all participants are of paramount concern to the AGCO – and its efforts to protect racehorses are linked to the integrity of racing and the fairness of the sport.
This position will appeal to a veterinarian and/or a manager who has an exceptional track record of bringing multifaceted projects to completion, managing people and stakeholder relations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Veterinary Services, the Manager of Veterinary Services is responsible for the supervision of the AGCO Official Veterinarians at the racetrack. This ensures that the procedures and required reporting are followed to support equine health and safety and regulatory practices. Weekend and evening work will be required.
