Our goal is to provide our intern with the skills they would need thrive in a private practice setting or a sports medicine residency. While our clinic focus is predominately sports medicine/lameness and chiropractic, our intern will also gain extensive knowledge in internal medicine, emergency care, and reproduction. Our clinicians use a full body health approach when treating lameness or internal medicine cases, using a mixture of traditional medicine, chiropractic, acupuncture, and applied kinesiology. We have a new facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and a wide array of treatment modalities available. We also focus on teaching our intern time management, communication skills, and business skills so they can succeed at every aspect of the business.
The first 3-6 months of the internship will be under direct supervision of one of the senior clinicians, followed by a transition period into taking their own appointments and emergency on call. A senior clinician will always be on call for back up. The intern will be assisting in all in clinic appointments, farm calls, and emergency calls. The intern will also be responsible for treatments on hospitalized cases.
