Resident Veterinarian for a Equine Embryo Transfer Facility:
The Resident Veterinarian is required to work from Jan to July for the first 6 months hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The day consists of scanning up to 80-100 Recipient mares. The rest of the day is spent performing Flushes and Transferring Embryos and maintaining any horses that are ill, lame or any other medical needs. The last 6 months of the year is 7:30-2:pm giving vaccines, attending to Recipients that are being returned from the previous breeding year and working with the general staff getting the breeding farm ready for the new season.
