Position available Fall 2019. Full time equine veterinarian wanted for an ambulatory practice in beautiful central Ohio. Practice is located in Lancaster, Ohio, which is 20 minutes southeast of Columbus and 30 minutes from the Hocking Hills region.
Work consists of standardbred racehorses as well as some performance and pleasure horses of all breeds and disciplines. In truck computers, digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, shockwave therapy, cryotherapy, IRAP, PRP and power dentistry are all utilized. Veterinary assistants are utilized extensively as well. We are dedicated to providing hospital quality medical care in a field setting. Minimum 2-3 years experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have a passion for lameness and sports medicine, be energetic, personable and willing to work some long hours as well as be humble enough to learn. High integrity with a positive attitude are a must. Life is too short not to. Associate would be expected to help build and develop their client base. Emergency calls are minimal so that a high quality of life away from work is available. Appointments are not scheduled for the weekends typically, however some Saturdays are required during the summer racing months. Full time position is available Fall 2019. Must have or be able to obtain an Ohio and Pennsylvania veterinary license. A base salary commensurate with experience along with a percentage of production bonus, AVMA and AAEP dues paid as well as health benefits, 401K plan with employer match, malpractice insurance, liability insurance, paid vacation, employee discount and a stipend for continuing education are being offered. A stocked vehicle, fuel card, etc. are furnished as well.

Crum Equine is an established practice which provides top quality care for the racetrack or farm. Cases which require extensive treatment, surgery, etc. are referred to one of a few referral centers in the area which gives us the ability to focus on our many clients. We do have some clients that will ship to us or a farm close by. Lancaster is a great place to raise a family with it's small town feel and surrounding farmland while being close to Columbus and the scenic Hocking Hills.
