Seeking a Professional Equine Veterinarian with at least five years’ experience and strong interest in dentistry to join a busy and growing five doctor practice in beautiful Northwest Oregon. Experience in sports medicine and reproduction preferred.
Practice offers a full range of services including first-class lameness diagnostics and treatment, extensive reproduction program, surgical services, podiatry specialists, pre-purchase exams, dental services, general maintenance and health care, and 24/7 emergency response. Oakhurst Equine utilizes Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Shockwave, PRP, Class IV laser and much more! Reproductive services offered include Stallion and Mare Management, Live Cover, Artificial Insemination, Frozen Semen and storage, and Embryo Transfer. The facility consists of a large main barn with 60 stalls, stallion barn, breeding shed with phantom, eurocisor, indoor sand arena, 9/16 mile training track, round pen, video monitored foaling and ISO stalls, and climate controlled exam room.
Located southwest of Portland on a 147-acre thoroughbred farm in the heart of beautiful Willamette Valley wine country, the clinic is situated within one-hour drive to the coast and only a few hours from the outdoor recreation mecca of central Oregon. Lots of great dining, hiking, biking, skiing, watersports, golfing, fishing, and numerous other outdoor adventures available in the local region!
We are seeking a strong team player with exceptional communication and a compassion for animals of all types. Position includes in-house and ambulatory appointments, shared time on-call and partial weekends. Rotating four day/five day workweeks. Full or part-time positions will be considered.

Highly proficient in equine dentistry, with strong skills in additional areas to include reproduction, lameness, or surgery.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate in teams, yet also function efficiently and effectively as an individual.
Licensed to ability to get Licensed in Oregon. USDA certification, or ability to get certified.
Clean background check and reasonable driving record.
