We are a Six doctor mixed animal practice located at the base of the Catskill Mountains in NY. Our practice covers 60 miles in all directions of the practice (six counties). We have an energetic, dedicated, and seasoned staff of thirty, providing veterinary care to nearly 12,000 patients annually. We opened our brick and mortar hospital in August 2017 to meet the needs or our expanding house/farm call practice.

Our facility is roughly 3,500 sq feet and includes a wide variety of diagnostic tools to provide the best quality care possible for all species. We have four exam rooms with computers to maintain completely paperless medical records. A dedicated surgery suite with active scavenger system and anesthetic machine. We also have a dedicated dental suite complete with digital radiology equipment and high-speed dental unit (two drill heads).
Radiology suite that had a DR radiology system with a floating table. For our ambulatory service, we have two DR systems (one wireless and one wired)
Our monitoring equipment includes ECG, SPO2, ETCo2, Temperature. We have two portable ECG monitors that allow us to monitor ECG while the patients are hospitalized in the ward. We have the ability for telemedicine consultations as well.
We have a full in-house idexx lab complete with cbc/chem/coagulation, snap pros (two), urine stick machine, and sedi-view. We perform 30+ cbc/chems per day in the hospital.
We have a doppler blood pressure monitor as well as tonovet for IOP monitoring.
We have four ultrasound units for various modalities of advanced diagnostic imaging.
Salary negotiated based on experience.
We also consider a base plus production (PROSal) structure.
Emergency compensation – you receive 100% of the emergency examination fee for any after-hours emergency case.
Full Time – Approximately 40 hours per week but may be more pending seasonal work or emergency work
We will also consider candidates on a part-time basis.
Typical work week includes 4-5 days with rotating on-call. Applicants should anticipate being on call 6 days/nights per month. We appreciate the value of proper work-life balance and stress personal time to allow for relaxation and decompression.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) with eligibility to become licensed in New York State and Pennsylvania
