Pedernales Veterinary Center is a modern, progressive clinic, seeking a motivated mixed-animal practitioner to join our team. Minimum 2 years experienced required with a background in equine, ruminant and small animal medicine necessary. We offer services to 50% small animal, 35% large animal (equine, small ruminant, beef cattle/bucking stock), and 15% exotics with emphasis on cervids and exotic African hoofstock (we are willing to train regarding cervid and African hoofstock medicine). An ideal candidate would have a strong work ethic, excellent client communications skills, a diverse skill set, and a friendly attitude. Applicant must be dedicated to the profession, prioritize CE, be able to confidently handle a variety of cases, and possess a good sense of humor. Skills in both surgery and medicine required. We are a full-service hospital with excellent facilities and plenty of extras!

Small and large animal digital radiography (including dental), high-speed dental unit with wet treatment area, therapeutic Class IV laser, sevoflorane anesthesia with advanced monitoring systems, isolated hospitalization areas, large and small animal ultrasound, large and small animal endoscopy, Tonopen, fully equip small and large animal surgical suites, hydraulic rollover squeeze chute with indoor working facilities, two sets of indoor horse stocks, 15 stall barn and a fully-stocked clinic truck is available for mobile calls.
Well-trained technical staff. Strong relationship with referral clinic and mobile surgeon. 4-day workweek with rotating Saturday and emergency hours. After hours call is split evenly between veterinarians. Emergency fees offer great supplemental income to a generous compensation package. Starting base salary $110,00 with opportunity for larger base depending on experience. ALL licenses, memberships, CE provided.
