Are you ready to love where you work? Rocky Point Animal Hospital in Rocky Point, NC, is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic professional to join our team as a full time Associate Veterinarian.
Rocky Point is located 20 minutes outside of historic Wilmington, which is North Carolina's most accessible coastal destination. The area's location, natural beauty, culture and history all charm visitors and residents alike.
We are a 2 doctor, primarily small animal practice that specializes in providing high quality, compassionate and convenient care for our patients. However, we do see a small case load of small ruminant and avian patients. We also support Cape Fear Raptor Center, and share our facility and property with them. Working with raptors is not required, but you may find yourself intrigued with our education birds and rehabilitation patients.
We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals, and we view our clients and patients as extended family. We also appreciate and respect the importance of work and life balance for our staff members and schedule accordingly. Rocky Point Animal Hospital provides services such as wellness examinations, immunizations, surgery (both emergency and routine), radiology, ultrasound, dental procedures, specialty surgical services, electronic medical records and an in-house laboratory. Consultations with a local boarded radiologist and surgeon are also at our fingertips.
We are looking for just the right individual to join our dynamic and compassionate team. The successful candidate has great communication skills, is focused on quality care, and excels at assuring client satisfaction. Schedule allows for rotating Saturdays with corresponding Mondays off. Mentorship available. Experience in general medicine and surgery is preferred, but new graduates will be considered. The right candidate will have a strong interest in medicine, be client-oriented, have strong client education skills, and be a team player. Experience with Cornerstone software is ideal. No emergency or on call time will be required!
