Palmetto Equine LLC is an equine exclusive veterinary practice in the upstate of South Carolina. We provide hospital and ambulatory care to a wide array of performance and pleasure horses in a beautiful (but still affordable) up and coming horse area!
The practice is a growing 2-3 doctor team. Our support staff is top notch and our facility is new and custom built with both surgical and medical care capabilities. There is a full surgical suite, three examination areas, an intensive care barn, and an additional barn for non-critical patients. The hospital is set on 40 acres but has easy access to an interstate highway. It is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, 1.5 and 3m endoscopes, shockwave, and PRP/ProStride. An ambulatory vehicle will be provided and a technician or assistant is provided for all appointments, including emergencies!
This position is open immediately. Internship training is a plus but we would be willing to mentor a new graduate! Appointments are scheduled 4 days a week with the fifth day set aside for office work (and real life stuff). The emergency on call is split and flexible. Our caseload is full of variety and we provide both primary and referral care.
We are searching for a motivated and compassionate veterinarian with excellent communication skills to be a part of our team. We are hoping to find a permanent addition to our team and someone who will help us grow and become a vital part of the family. Compensation will be generous but depends on experience and skills. Compensation packages all include paid vacation, CE stipend (and time to go get it!), licensing fees and some membership dues, full reimbursement for liability and professional insurance, and several options for other insurance coverages.
