Nestled in the beautiful Pioneer Valley and surrounded by the five-college area, we pride our practice on a high quality of care, compassion, and teamwork. The all ambulatory practice is comprised of 50% bovine and 50% equine with some small ruminant and porcine patients as well. Our bovine services consist mostly of dairy cattle with some beef cattle for routine pregnancy herd checks, lameness, nutritional consultations, and emergencies. Our equine practice covers all patients from English and Western performance horses to backyard retired horses for wellness visits, lameness/sports medicine, reproduction, dentistry, and emergencies. The evening and weekend emergency services would be shared equally between all four vets in the practice. Our practice is fully equipped with in-house CBC and Chemistry, on-the-truck portable chemistry machines (EPOC), digital radiography, a SonoSite Edge II ultrasound with tendon and abdominal probe, a Lameness Locator, 2 Ibex reproductive ultrasounds, 2 Swiss power floats and dental stands, an on-site exam room, and 2 overnight boarding stalls for specific cases. The successful candidate will also be provided a fully stocked ambulatory truck with Bowie box. We cover a region spanning most of Western Massachusetts and into southern Vermont with a handful of dairy herds further East in the state. Our highly skilled office staff and veterinarians are devoted to customer service and client education and in return, our clients are respectful and very appreciative of our expertise and time. We pride ourselves with a great work environment, mentorship, and working as a team! We are looking for a candidate that is enthusiastic, passionate, and a team player with attention to detail. Salary is commensurate with experience. Flexible scheduling is possible for the right candidate and we consider ourselves very family friendly. Massachusetts and Vermont licenses are covered by the practice as well as AABP, AAEP, and AVMA dues, and generous allowance for continuing education.
