Ridgeline Equine Veterinary Services, Inc. is growing and recruiting a new Associate Veterinarian! We intend to add a full or part-time mixed animal associate to our growing practice in south-central Indiana. The practice is 50% equine and 50% small animal; there is some small ruminant work. There is potential for further growth and development in each species sector of the practice. We stress high quality veterinary care and experiences for our patients and clients, quality life values, community engagement, and work-life balance – and associated flexible schedule options.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in both equine and small animal medicine. Small animal patients are seen both, in-clinic and in a “house call” setting. Our equine ambulatory practice is comprised of pleasure and performance horses, as well as broodmares, stallions, and young, growing horses – from foals to young adults. We expect the Associate will sustain our current high standard of practice of general medicine and continue to develop proficiency using technologies including digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, and laser therapy. The Associate will be responsible for participation in our rotating equine on-call emergency schedule. We support continuous professional development in one or more disciplines, e.g., dentistry, general medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, and reproduction.
Ridgeline Equine Veterinary Services, Inc. is located in Spencer, Indiana, the home of Indiana’s first State Park, McCormick’s Creek. The town of Spencer is currently going through an exciting revitalization, and our downtown clinic is a part of it. Outdoor recreation is abundant in our area, with nearby hiking, biking, and water activities. Indianapolis is one hour north-east and Bloomington, home of Indiana University, is a 20 minute drive. The Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital and new Centaur Equine Specialty Hospital serve as convenient referral options for complex cases as well as locations of local CE.
Compensation includes base pay + “productivity”, benefits package (paid vacation, CE stipend, disability insurance, IN license, liability insurance, retirement plan, and association dues).
