Position available in 5 doctor equine ambulatory practice located just outside the Seattle metro area. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who has a passion for providing top level care to clients and their horses. Great communication skills, dedication to continued learning, willingness to participate in practice development, and complete integrity are absolute requirements. Associates are encouraged to distinguish themselves and to help expand the practice by developing expertise in their areas of interest.
We have great clients that have high expectations for the veterinary care of their animals. We see many different types of horses and a wide variety of equestrian disciplines. The practice emphasizes on farm diagnosis and care whenever possible and when in the best interest of the horse. Our imaging equipment is top shelf and includes digital radiology (four systems), Sonosite and GE ultrasounds (five systems), and portable endoscopy employing 3 meter and 1.1 meter scopes. Therapeutic modalities include IRAP, ProStrides, Arteriocyte PRP, Pulse Vet shockwave, Class 4 laser, and motorized dental equipment. We also offer full reproductive services including embryo transfer, stallion collection, and semen freezing / handling.
Caseload includes preventive care, lameness, dentistry, general medicine, and reproduction. A practice vehicle stocked with supplies and basic instruments is provided. Our support staff is awesome, and everyone works together to deliver the best to our clients. Benefits include medical, retirement plan, professional memberships and liability insurance, and a continuing education allowance. Emergency duties are shared among all vets; weekends are rotated and additional days off are given for weekend coverage. Appointments are generally limited to Monday through Friday with most weekends free when not on call.
The practice is close to the Cascade Mountains and the Puget Sound. There are endless opportunities for outdoor activities. The beautiful city of Seattle offers diverse cultural events, professional sports, fantastic food and is just a short drive away. Great coffee is everywhere.

DVM or equivalent, license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Washington or eligible for licensure, valid U.S driver's license in good standing, USDA Category 2 accreditation, one year of equine practice in ambulatory setting
