Arizona Equine is a large referral equine hospital based in Gilbert, Arizona. We practice high quality medicine and surgery in a beautiful facility. We provide ambulatory services to the southern Phoenix valley. We currently have seven full time veterinarians (including 2 interns). Hospital equipment includes: Digital radiography, Digital Ultrasound, Video endoscopy, nuclear scintigraphy, standing MRI, complete surgical capabilities, and complete reproductive capabilities. Our ambulatory trucks are fully equipped with digital radiography and ultrasound capabilities. Each veterinarian is provided with a technician. Interns also rotate through the ambulatory service and are shared among the ambulatory doctors. We are looking for a veterinarian that has completed an internship or several years in practice. An interest in eventual partnership is a plus as well.
Our ambulatory caseload is predominantly pleasure horses with hunter/jumper and dressage horses rounding out the mix. We collect a number of stallions and AI numerous mares each year. There is a great opportunity for associates interested in developing or maintaining an interest in sports medicine.
We hire 2-3 interns each year, and host numerous veterinary students throughout the year. Our surgeons and internal medicine specialist enjoy mentoring younger associates in their respective specialties. We maintain a very friendly and collaborative work environment.
Our practice philosophy is one of providing exceptional care to our patients, while also encouraging work life balance for employed veterinarians. The call schedule is shared between 3 veterinarians and work days are scheduled from 8-5, M-F. We encourage all of our partners and associates to maintain a good work life balance to enable a long, happy, and healthy career. Our pay and benefit package is very competitive.
Gilbert is located in the south east Phoenix valley. We are optimally situated near mountains and lakes for those enjoying outdoor activities. The greater Phoenix valley is also awash with many sporting and cultural activities. It is a wonderful place to live and raise a family!
