North Dakota State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice – Program Veterinarian in the Veterinary Technology program with a 50% teaching and 50% service appointment. This is a 9- month, non-tenure track position in the Department of Animal Sciences; an academic unit of the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources. The Animal Sciences Department has the largest undergraduate student population in the College with over 400 total students in three undergraduate degree designations: Animal Science, Equine Science, and Veterinary Technology.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach 3 to 6 credit hours per semester. Course assignments are based on candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. In addition, the successful applicant will also advise undergraduate students and further the mission of the program by contributing to curricular development and assessment. The service portion of the appointment includes responsibility for veterinary care of the animals in the Veterinary Technology Program as well as departmental service activities.
