Independence Animal Hospital, Independence, KS, is looking for an associate for a busy mixed animal practice, 80% companion animal/20% large animal (primarily cow/calf). We are currently a 2 doctor practice, needing to expand to 3 doctors. Our equipment includes in-house CBC and Chem profiles, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and ultrasound, and our facility includes a dedicated suite for dental and radiology. Our large animal facilities have a convenient pull through trailer loading/unloading area, excellent cattle handling pens & crowd tub, hydraulic tilt cattle chute, OB chute and horse stocks.
Our staff includes 2 full time receptionists, 3 full time veterinary technicians, a part time high school student, and a part time bookkeeper. Each staff person is capable, dedicated, caring, and takes pride in Independence Animal Hospital’s reputation of compassionate care in a clean, odor free facility.
Dr. Bolton has a special interest in ultrasound and dentistry, and enjoys the challenge of exotics. Dr. Epp is a well-respected “general practitioner”, and enjoys the fact that he still encounters first time experiences even after many years in practice!
Compensation includes base competitive salary based on experience with production potential plus pay for emergency work. Benefits include: paid health insurance, paid time off (combination of vacation, sick and personal days), CE allowance, discounted products and services, paid state license; KVMA & AVMA dues; professional liability insurance; and Simple IRA plan option. Weekend and emergency duty is shared on a rotational basis.
