We are currently seeking an equine ambulatory veterinarian but there is the opportunity for small animal and/or food animal work based on desire and experience. We are a well-established and rapidly growing equine and small animal practice located 20 miles south of Pittsburgh and serving Washington County, Allegheny County and surrounding areas. Our practice currently sees 60% equine and 40% small animal clients, with 3 full-time equine associates and 2 full-time small animal associates. Position start date is September 1st, but can be flexible depending on applicant's needs.
Equine doctors rotate on-call and weekend schedule. Case load is 50% racetrack/lameness, 30% pleasure horse and 20% repro. Interest in alternative medicine (chiropractic, acupuncture, etc.) is welcomed. We strongly encourage team-work, collaboration and establishing a work-life balance.
New associate would be provided with a work vehicle and access to endoscopy, power floats, digital radiography and ultrasound, as well as a technician to assist with duties. Compensation package includes but is not limited to paid vacation, professional dues and liability insurance, CE, and 401(K).
