Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center, Inc. is offering a one yearInternal Medicine fellowship to qualified candidates. The desired startdate would be June 1, 2018 and end on May 31, 2019.
The requirements for this position are completion of one year of aninternship or one year of work experience in an equine practice. We arelooking for someone compassionate about providing the best possiblecare to the clients and patients and committed to learning andperforming at the highest level of veterinary medicine. Our case load isvaried and encompasses all breeds and types of horses from central andsouthern California.
Initially you would be working under the directsupervision of Dr. Erin Byrne, DACVIM and independently once you’vebecome familiar with our facility and staff. You would also assist inteaching and supervising our interns as well as preparing casepresentations for rounds. Emergency duties would include in-hospitalcase admissions and management as well as some shared fieldemergency duties. A current California veterinary license is required.
