Advanced Equine Dentistry Inc. is looking for one or two veterinarians to join our well established business! We are primarily an Equine dentistry practice and cover the state of Florida with a focus in the Tampa Bay Area. We operate out of a 28 ft, state of the art mobile dental trailer with numerous safety features and technical excellence.
We offer a 4 day work week and may consider (2) part-time veterinarians if they would like to job share. The position is salaried with no call, no weekends, no emergencies, no holidays! We prefer applicants with equine experience but will consider veterinarians who have horse "interest" if motivated to brush up their skills and are a good fit for our company.
Specifically we are looking for positive attitudes and the ability to interact well with our amazing clients. In addition to providing veterinary care, our applicants should enjoy teaching as we have an active educational program both for individuals wanting to train in equine dentistry and also for horse owners. We love to give lectures, demonstrations, go to "horse" events, and train new technicians!
Our clients range from single horse owners to large commercial barns. We travel to their site and offer exceptional dental care as well as services focused on general equine wellness. We have structured procedures and safety processes in place to assure the best possible outcomes and an EMR to maintain excellent documentation. We believe we are a great fit for veterinarians looking to provide care for horses while still maintaining a great work/life balance!
Florida licensed Veterinarian will be responsible for supervising equine sedation and providing wellness based services such as vaccines, lab draws, nutritional consults, condition assessment, and owner education. Veterinarian will also maintain controlled substances log, manage on-line pharmacy prescriptions and requests, be vet of record for supply/med purchases, and be vet of record on laboratory account.
In general position does not require extensive physical labor but does require extended driving time as we are mobile. In general, we leave from Dade City office approximately 8am (occasionally earlier) and plan for 8-10 hour days. The position is for four set days per week with no weekends, no call, no holiday, no emergencies required. You will be asked to attend a rare weekend horse event/show as a promotional opportunity and will be compensated for that time.
