Do you like horses but not the equine practice lifestyle? How about surgery? Repro your interest? 6 dr AAHA mixed animal practice is looking for its own unicorn. In the perfect world, we would like an experienced associate who is comfortable with a pleasure/backyard equine clientele and who is comfortable, proficient ( and enjoys!) soft tissue small animal surgery and/or theriogenology . Rather than listing all our equipment, just know that the practice has the equipment and staff you need to practice high quality medicine . Plus ( and even better) our clients still value and trust us. It’s a great area to live and play, close to metro areas but still moderately rural. Compensation is pro sal, base depending on experience, and other benefits include CE, dues, DEA and liability reimbursement, vacation, matching Simple IRA, health insurance stipend, and a student loan payback program.
Sad to say, it isn’t all glitter and rainbows though - we still take emergencies for both large and small animals, and we work weekends - although that is shared and rotated among associates. Our average number of emergencies seen by each Dr per month is 2-4. We are a fairly fast paced practice, so we are looking for experience. And, we see the occasional pet goat, alpaca, sheep, and micro pig ( sorry...)Ownership interests? That’s possible too. Interested in knowing more ?
