Small Animal Veterinarian with an interest in small ruminants or Mixed Animal Veterinarian needed for a busy Veterinary Practice in Morrison County, Minnesota. We currently employ 2 full time doctors, 4 veterinary technicians, 2 receptionists, 1 office assistant and 1 kennel assistant. We have served the community since 1963, and under new ownership since 2012, we are continually improving and upgrading. Come with ideas on how to progress further!
Currently, we serve approximately 20% dairy, 15% beef, 50% small animals and 15% other animals including small ruminants, equine, white tail deer and other exotics.
Our philosophy is to provide affordable and effective diagnoses and treatments to the community and surrounding areas and to educate clients on important health issues for their animals. We pride ourselves on nutritional consults and often see animals for second opinions.
Our clinic was fully remodeled in 2015 and has a treatment area with 2 dental sinks and digital dental x-rays. A Radiography/ultrasonography suite with digital x-rays, Lab includes Idexx Procyte station including chemistry, CBC, UA/sedivue, Coag, one surgery suite, and three exam rooms. Electronic Medical Records through AviMark. We recently finished a detached building to house isolated animals and perform temperature controlled equine dental procedures in our custom built portable stocks.
Our location in Minnesota is ideal! We are 12 minutes from Little Falls (population about 8,000), 30 minutes from Brainerd (population about 20,000), 35 minutes from St Cloud and suburbs (population about 100,000) and 35 minutes from Mille Lacs Lake/Grand Casino. Entertainment of the Twin Cities is only a 90 minute drive. There are many lakes on which to own a cabin near and far. Great hunting and fishing is in our back yard.
Within 10 years, building expansion is planned to include more treatment areas, surgery suites, recovery rooms and a possibly a haul-in facility for our large animal clients. Buy-in opportunities/partnerships are available, and profit-sharing is offered.
Looking for general practitioner with small animal or mixed animal emphasis. Interest in small ruminants is a plus. Dedicated work ethic, honesty, compassion, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to perform routine surgeries and wound care unsupervised such as spay, neuter, declaw, tooth extractions.
